As an experienced Lead AI/ML Engineering leader with expertise in Enterprise AI Agent development, your responsibilities includes designing multi-agent ecosystems, enabling autonomous workflows, integrating complex data sources, and leveraging the Databricks Lakehouse platform for scalable intelligence.

With this position we offer :

Join the Data Platform specialized AI & Agents Development team (AICOE). The ideal candidate will be able to design, build, and implement agents across various frameworks and platforms, and possess strong skills in Generative AI to lead advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning projects.

Your roles and Responsibilities include :

• Design and develop AI agents using modern frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, Databricks Agents) to automate enterprise workflows and improve decision-making.
• Create scalable multi-agent architectures where agents can collaborate, share context, and perform complex tasks autonomously or with human oversight.
• Develop robust solutions for connecting agents to diverse data sources—APIs, Databricks Lakehouse, internal platforms, unstructured content—ensuring secure, reliable, and optimized access.
• Leverage Databricks (Lakehouse, MLflow, Workflows, Unity Catalog) to build end‑to‑end AI pipelines, enable RAG workflows, and integrate agent capabilities with enterprise data platforms.
• Mentor and develop engineers, specialists, and data scientists in AI/ML tools & frameworks.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders globally to deliver AI-led automation and insights.
• Working closely with business/product sponsors to understand the business needs and ensures hypothesis, predictive modelling and data validation is in line with business opportunity.
• Strategizes new uses for data and its interaction with data design.

We expect you to have:

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in Software/AI/ML Engineering, with 5+ years in leading teams.
• Must have deep expertise in AI Agent development and knowledge of Databricks or similar.
• Should have advanced skills in Python, Spark, SQL, and distributed systems.
• Experience with agent evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops (e.g., DeepEval, RAGAS, TruLens, PromptFoo, LangSmith, OpenTelemetry for LLMs) to measure agent accuracy, detect drift, monitor reasoning paths, and incorporate human‑in‑the‑loop improvements.
• Understanding of OAuth2/OIDC/JWT, RBAC, data access governance, and integration of authenticated/authorized access patterns when working with sensitive or regulated datasets
• Proficiency in Java or .NET and Cloud (AWS/Azure) is a nice-to-have for candidates who can also support traditional microservices or API platform teams.
• Experience with cloud-native service development (microservices, APIs, Docker/Kubernetes, API gateways) is nice to have, especially when integrating agent systems with legacy or enterprise platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
