About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer within Electronic Trading Development, specifically Spread products.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
  • Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
  • Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
  • Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
  • Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
  • Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Mentor less experienced software engineers
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Overall 10+ years of experience in Design, implement, and optimize low-latency, high-throughput Java applications for financial trading.
  • Experience in Electronic trading / Algorithmic Trading is MUST.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 8+, with hands-on experience in multi-threaded and distributed systems.
  • Work on Low latency E-trading applications.
  • Spring Framework , Apache Kafka
  • Any Time-Series databases/ Nosql , Deephaven
  • Capital Market/ Equity exposure
  • Ensure functional and non-functional deliverables - System stability, resiliency.
  • Code high throughput, latency sensitive platform with milliseconds to Microseconds for each transaction.
  • Zero garbage, smart synchronization must have skills.
  • Good understanding of Global Markets trading space.
  • ETrading business understanding
  • Trade lifecycle, pricing, trade execution state management.
  • Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Solace, Aeron etc.) and real-time data processing.
  • Knowledge of low-latency optimization techniques, including garbage collection tuning and efficient data structures.

Job Expectations:

  • We are open for both the locations - Hyderabad or Bangalore and will be required to work in the office as per organizations In Office Adherence / Return To Office (RTO)
  • Work with Product Manangers, Prod support, Application leads/Architects for delivery of changes,/enhancements
  • AI based tooling to realize efficiency in SDLC lifecycle.
  • Leverage Agents/MCP Servers/LLM's in Requirement/Testing/Coding and other stages of delivery.
