Job Description

Ma’aden is seeking a Lead Specialist, Infrastructure & Hosting Platform II to lead and own Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, hosting, and connectivity across its industrial sites.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, lifecycle management, and reliability of OT hosting platforms, ensuring stable compute, storage, and industrial networks that support live production operations and digital initiatives.

This is a hands-on, operational OT infrastructure role — not a corporate IT or control-systems design position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and operate OT infrastructure, hosting, and connectivity environments across sites
  • Own OT servers, virtualization, storage, and edge compute platforms
  • Ensure availability, performance, capacity, and reliability of OT-hosted systems
  • Execute routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities
  • Oversee OT network infrastructure and ensure resilient connectivity between OT systems, plant networks, and enterprise platforms
  • Implement backup, redundancy, and recovery practices for OT environments
  • Monitor infrastructure health, respond to incidents, and lead root-cause analysis
  • Drive standardization and support modernization of legacy OT infrastructure
  • Coordinate closely with site OT teams, enterprise OT architecture, and IT network teams

Platforms in Scope

  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Industrial historians (e.g., OSI PI, Honeywell, Siemens, Rockwell, Aveva)
  • Edge compute and industrial hosting platforms

Broad familiarity is required; deep expertise in every platform is not mandatory.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in OT or industrial infrastructure & hosting (8+ years strongly preferred)
  • Hands-on experience supporting live production environments
  • Strong understanding of industrial networks and OT–IT connectivity
  • Experience with virtualization, storage, backup, and recovery in OT environments
  • Ability to operate under uptime, availability, and incident pressure
  • Strong coordination skills across site teams, architects, and IT stakeholders

Relevant Industry Experience

Experience from the following environments is highly valued:

  • Mining & metals
  • Oil & gas
  • Utilities / power
  • Heavy manufacturing
  • Chemicals, cement, automotive, or food & beverage (industrial scale)

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary in a tax-free environment
  • Housing and transportation allowances
  • 30 days of vacation plus public holidays
  • Paid home leave tickets
  • Complimentary meals and uniform cleaning
  • Medical and life insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program and worldwide complimentary room nights
  • Opportunities for growth and development
  • Additional family benefits

Schedule & Hours

Full-time role.
