Lead Specialist - Global Accounting, Audit & Compliance

What will you be responsible for?

1. Financial Reporting & Global Consolidation

• • Preparation of financial statements (India & US) from NetSuite trial balance.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Indian GAAP (Schedule III).
  • Manage global consolidation of financials at US group level, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
  • Pass all month-end and year-end closure entries (ESOP, leases, deferred tax, accruals, R&D capitalization, etc.).
  • Deliver monthly MIS and management reporting within tight timelines.

1. Audit Management (India & US)

• • Lead statutory audit (India) and US audit processes end-to-end.
  • Coordinate with auditors and internal teams for timely submission of information.
  • Ensure audit readiness, resolve queries, and close audits within defined timelines.
  • Deliverables include audited financial statements and audit reports.
  • R&D capitalization (US – Sec 174), Contract Acquisition Cost (ASC 340), Revenue Recognition, Contract Liability and Contract Asset (ASC 606), Lease Accounting

1. Taxation & Compliance – India

• • Manage tax audit, ITR filing, and transfer pricing (TP) compliance.
  • Coordinate and review filings:
  • Form 3CD, 3CA
  • Form 56FF (tax holiday/SEZ)
  • TP Forms (3CEAA, 3CEB)
  • Handle advance tax computation and payments.
  • Respond to income tax notices and assessments.

1. International Taxation (US & Others)

• Support US tax filings, extensions, and estimated tax computations (with external advisors).
• Deferred Tax calculations
• Manage Form 10F, TRC, and lower withholding tax certificates.
• Provide data for cross-border transactions and ensure compliance.

1. Companies Act & Corporate Compliance (India)

• • Support Board/Committee meeting:
  • Supporting in reparation of board resolutions, notices, and minutes
  • Director compliance (DIR-8, MBP-1)
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • CSR (Section 135) and CSR-2 filing
  • Annual Report preparation
  • ROC filings (AOC-4, MGT-7, PAS-6, MSME-1, etc.,)  

1. RBI / FEMA Compliance

• • Preparation and filing of FLA return.
  • Ensure adherence to FEMA regulations for cross-border transactions.

1. International Accounting (UK & Canada)

• • Manage monthly accounting in NetSuite for UK & Canada entities.
  • Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Review and finalize tax filings for UK & Canada.

1. Revenue & Sales Order Controls

• • Review Sales Orders in NetSuite for accuracy:
  • Billing/shipping details
  • Payment terms
  • Contract period & revenue recognition timelines
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition principles including Post Contract Support services (ASC 606).

What do we require?

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5–8+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP (mandatory), Indian GAAP & Companies Act and Global accounting and multi-entity consolidation.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP (preferred).
• Exposure to global audits (US/India) and cross-border taxation.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
