The Spa Lead assists the Spa Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the spa, ensuring excellence in guest satisfaction, staff performance, treatment quality, and operational flow. This role includes guest relations, team supervision, scheduling, quality control, and ensuring that all spa spaces reflect the luxury standards of Kindred Resort.

The ideal candidate is a natural leader, highly organized, solutions-oriented, and passionate about luxury wellness hospitality.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $25.45/hr - $33.93/hr

  • Employment Type: Year Round

  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available

Job Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Ensure every guest receives a warm, seamless, Forbes-aligned spa experience
  • Resolve guest concerns with discretion, empathy, and professionalism
  • Maintain a strong presence on the spa floor to support both guests and staff
  • Ensure treatment rooms, relaxation areas, and the front desk reflect luxury standards at all times
  • Assist with VIP and specialty guest coordination, ensuring personalized service

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Support and mentor front desk/concierge staff
  • Lead by example through professionalism, polished communication, and consistent service excellence
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training
  • Provide daily operational direction and communicate effectively between departments
  • Ensure therapists and aestheticians adhere to treatment protocols, timing standards, and guest communication expectations

Operations & Administration

  • Assist with scheduling providers based on business levels, guest flow, and skill sets
  • Oversee daily treatment flow and ensure efficient room turnover
  • Maintain inventory, linen management, and stock levels for treatment rooms and retail
  • Support retail tracking, merchandising, and inventory reconciliation
  • Monitor spa cleanliness and uphold all sanitation standards
  • Handle opening and closing procedures as required

Financial & Business Support

  • Assist with retail sales performance and service revenue goals
  • Support the Spa Director with reporting, payroll processes, and supply ordering
  • Help identify opportunities to increase service utilization, retail attachment, and guest retention
  • Ensure all transactions are accurate and compliant with resort policies

Job Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a luxury spa, resort, or hospitality environment (required)
  • Prior supervisory or lead role experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of personal accountability
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a luxury brand
  • Ability to multi-task and remain composed in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
  • Knowledge of spa treatments, esthetics, and wellness modalities (helpful but not required)
  • Proficient with spa booking or POS systems, scheduling, and administrative tasks
  • Availability on weekends, holidays, and during peak mountain seasons

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to assist with spa setup, retail stocking, and light housekeeping tasks

The expected pay range is $25.45/hr - $33.93/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
