Job Description

The Lead Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to ensure the organization secures high-quality goods and services at competitive costs. This role leads supplier management, contract negotiations, cost optimization initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives while ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies across assigned categories.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to support sourcing decisions.
  • Lead RFQ, RFP, and tender processes.

Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, and service levels.
  • Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Contract & Negotiation Management

  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers.
  • Review and negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements.
  • Ensure contracts align with business requirements and risk management standards.
  • Support legal and compliance reviews where necessary.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand sourcing requirements.
  • Provide procurement guidance and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, engineering, and business teams to achieve procurement objectives.

Cost & Risk Management

  • Drive cost reduction and value creation initiatives.
  • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Develop contingency plans for critical suppliers and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Monitor sourcing KPIs and procurement metrics.
  • Prepare management reports and sourcing recommendations.
  • Utilize data analytics to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, Six Sigma or equivalent are an advantage.
  • 8 – 12 years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience leading sourcing projects and supplier negotiations.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
