The Position

The Lead Solutions Architect (Patient Data Management) is a techno functional leader who connects business vision to execution by designing secure, scalable, and compliant patient data architectures and solutions. This role aligns enterprise objectives, data governance, and privacy requirements with modern architectures ensuring trusted, efficient and appropriate use of highly sensitive patient information.

Relationships

Reports to the Director, Business Applications. Interacts with internal stakeholders across business units as well as external suppliers and partners.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the evaluation, architecture and solution design of enterprise-scale systems that process sensitive patient data, ensuring compliance with healthcare data protection regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and 21 CFR Part 11
  • Translate business and technical requirements into secure, end to end solution architectures that deliver business outcomes while ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and availability
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned platforms, providing architectural guidance and operational support for data ingestion, analytics, reporting, and integrations supporting critical business processes
  • Works on the projects and initiatives assigned by IT management team
  • Leads in the development and/or maintenance of technical documents. Reconciles solution design with business requirements. Designs application prototypes when necessary
  • Develop and present solution recommendations and viable architectural alternatives, clearly articulating trade offs related to scalability, security, performance, cost, compliance, and long term maintainability to meet stakeholder and customer needs
  • Collaborate with business partners and cross functional IT teams to conduct business analysis, define requirements, and produce secure, scalable solution designs
  • Act as a trusted consultant and subject matter expert across data management, analytics, integration, and interoperability solutions involving sensitive and regulated data
  • Serve as the primary liaison across business, internal, and external teams, providing architectural oversight and ensuring alignment with business goals and enterprise standards throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Leverages knowledge of risk management standards for current processes, projects, and systems

Physical Requirements

10% travel including some international.

Qualifications

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, or related field preferred
  • Experience Level: 8+ years related experience in architecture design and implementation experience
  • Strong background in application and solution development in data mgt and analytics solutions
  • Specific or technical job skills: Experience in solution design, data management, data integration and database development techniques. Works in Agile solution delivery
  • Experience in SQL, AWS, Cloud, ETL (Informatica etc.) and BI (Tableau,PowerBI, Qlik Sense, etc.) Technologies
  • Good knowledge of data modelling & data warehousing concepts
  • Experience in assembling large, complex structured/unstructured data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Data like IQVIA, Veeva, Customer or Product Master Systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of Snowflake Database, Tableau, QlikSense and Informatica is a plus
  • Experience in handling onsite/offshore team is a plus
  • Experience working on direct-to-consumer data and analytics initiatives is a plus
  • Experiences in agile development and testing preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated problem solver with an ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems
  • Excellent technical writing, document organization, technical document review and analytical thinking skills are required
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems/business analysis and design techniques
  • Knowledge of all phases of the project and system development methodologies

The base compensation range for this position is $[ ] to $[ ]. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
