Division: Group Business Solutions (GBS)

Euroclear is investing in the modernization of its Corporate Support applications across Finance, HR, Legal, Risk, and Compliance. As a Lead Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining and delivering innovative, secure, and scalable solutions that support these essential business functions in their different initiatives.

This is an opportunity to influence strategic architecture, guide talented engineering teams, and contribute to the evolution of Euroclear’s enterprise wide technology landscape.

The role

As a Lead Solution Architect, you will:

Design high impact solutions

  • Create practical, cost effective, and end-to-end solution designs aligned with business goals and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Own the architecture of complex initiatives from early concept to delivery.

Be a strategic advisor

  • Recommend the right products, platforms, and technologies to achieve the target architecture.
  • Provide expert input in tenders, solution assessments, and vendor evaluations.

Guide teams & ensure alignment

  • Act as the bridge between enterprise architects, solution designers, engineers, and business teams.
  • Mentor solution younger solution architects, designers and engineers, ensuring solutions remain aligned to enterprise architecture standards, principles, and target domain architectures.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders

  • Work with Business Architects, Business Analysts, and domain experts to refine requirements and translate them into robust end-to-end designs.
  • Partner with security experts to embed the right controls, ensure compliance, and design secure solutions.

Drive delivery excellence

  • Provide architectural support during implementation, clarifying design intent and validating technical decisions.
  • Contribute to estimates, planning, technical scope definition, and risk assessments.
  • Document architectural decisions and ensure traceability and transparency.

Support governance & compliance

  • Escalate deviations from standards where necessary and support decision-making in governance bodies.
  • Ensure solutions comply with regulatory, audit, and data protection requirements.

Build and strengthen architecture practices

  • Contribute to reusable patterns, reference architectures, and knowledge assets.
  • Actively participate in communities of practice and collaborate on best practices.
  • Lead or coordinate other Solution Architects; train and mentor new team members.

Champion innovation & future ready architecture

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and bring forward recommendations.
  • Ensure solutions are operationally ready, resilient, maintainable, and sustainable over their lifecycle.

Lead the solution architecture within the Corporate Support area

  • Manage and coordinate the overall demand for solution architecture for the area
  • Onboard and coach more junior team members within the area

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, including roles in solution architecture or as a senior functional consultant.
  • Strong understanding of various corporate support areas (Finance, HR, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Supply Chain…).
  • Experience in the banking sector, ideally in the Compliance area and/or with major software packages (Oracle eBusiness Suite, Tagetik, Ariba, PeopleSoft, NetReveal…).
  • Experience designing integrated solutions across complex enterprise landscapes.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex problems into actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills — able to “sell” architecture decisions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF, IAF, OAA (a strong plus).
