We are seeking an experienced Software Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and modernization of Windows desktop applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC), Visual C++ (VC++), .NET Framework, and InstallShield. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable software solutions, guiding development teams, defining technical standards, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and architect enterprise-grade Windows desktop applications using MFC, VC++, and .NET Framework.
• Lead software architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and solution planning.
• Define application architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
• Modernize legacy MFC/VC++ applications while maintaining backward compatibility.
• Develop and review technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and solution specifications.
• Design integration between native C++ applications and .NET components.
• Build and maintain software installation packages using InstallShield.
• Troubleshoot complex application, deployment, and installation issues.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and system reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to software engineers.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend architectural improvements.

We are seeking an experienced Software Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and modernization of Windows desktop applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC), Visual C++ (VC++), NET Framework, and InstallShield The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable software solutions, guiding development teams, defining technical standards, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect enterprise-grade Windows desktop applications using MFC, VC++, and .NET Framework.
  • Lead software architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and solution planning.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC).
  • Advanced programming experience in Visual C++ (VC++).
  • Strong knowledge of C++, object-oriented design, STL, multithreading, and Windows APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET Framework (C#, VB.NET, or C++/CLI).
  • Expertise in InstallShield for creating MSI installers and deployment packages.
  • Experience with Windows desktop application development
  • Knowledge of COM/DCOM, DLLs, Windows Services, and Registry programming.
  • Strong debugging skills using Visual Studio.
  • Experience with source control tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, or SVN.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes.
  • Understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in migrating legacy MFC applications to modern technologies.
  • Knowledge of WPF, WinForms, or .NET modernization strategies.
  • Experience with REST APIs and web service integration.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server or other relational databases.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
  • Exposure to secure coding practices and cybersecurity standards.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
