Job Description

About Synechron

Synechron is a global digital consulting firm that helps leading organisations accelerate transformation through technology, data, and innovation. With 16,500+ professionals across 60 offices in 20 countries, we combine deep industry expertise with advanced capabilities in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, digital engineering, and data. Our teams deliver scalable, high-impact solutions through regional expertise supported by global delivery capability. Through our award-winning FinLabs accelerators and strategic partnerships with AWS, Microsoft, Databricks, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, we enable organisations to innovate faster and operate with confidence.

The Role:

We're looking for a senior technologist who does both — architects enterprise solutions and builds them. This isn't a role where you draw diagrams and hand them over. You'll design the architecture, lead the engineering, and get your hands dirty in the code when it matters. You'll work across integration, web, mobile and cloud platforms, and you'll do it across a diverse portfolio of clients spanning government, utilities, energy, defence, health, finance, and more.

You'll operate as a trusted advisor to our clients and a technical leader within our delivery teams. You'll shape how solutions are built, mentor the people building them, and ensure what gets delivered is secure, scalable, and maintainable.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Architect and deliver enterprise solutions across cloud and hybrid environments — from integration platforms to web and mobile applications
  • Lead technical delivery across the full software development lifecycle, from discovery and design through to build, test, deployment, and support
  • Design integration architectures using platforms such as Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, and AWS integration components. Knowledge of legacy integration platforms an advantage.
  • Build modern web applications using technologies such as .NET, Angular, React, or VueJS, and mobile applications using frameworks such as Xamarin, MAUI, or React Native
  • Design, Establish and embed DevOps and DevSecOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and containerised deployment
  • Advise clients on platform modernisation, integration strategy, cloud migration, and architectural governance
  • Lead and mentor blended teams of consultants and client staff — coaching developers, engineers, and architects in modern delivery practices
  • Engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solution designs that are pragmatic, secure, and aligned to organisational strategy

What We’re Looking For:

  • 15+ years of experience across application development, solution architecture, and integration engineering
  • Proven ability to operate at both architecture and engineering levels — you're as comfortable defining a solution model as you are writing production code
  • Strong technical depth across the Microsoft technology stack (.NET, Azure, SQL Server, Azure DevOps) with meaningful experience in at least one other ecosystem (AWS, Oracle, Linux)
  • Hands-on experience with modern web development (Angular, React, VueJS) and/or mobile development (Xamarin, MAUI, React Native, Ionic)
  • Integration expertise — you've designed and delivered integration solutions using ESB platforms, API management, messaging patterns, and service-oriented or event-driven architectures
  • Cloud and DevOps fluency — you understand containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, IaC (Bicep, Terraform, ARM), and have implemented these in real delivery contexts
  • Consulting capability — you know how to work with clients, manage stakeholders, lead teams, and communicate clearly at all levels
  • Sector experience across government, utilities, energy, defence, health, finance, education, or insurance is highly valued
  • A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Certifications in Azure, AWS, or Agile frameworks are well regarded

What you'll get

  • A senior consulting role with variety — no two engagements are the same
  • The autonomy to shape solutions and influence delivery direction
  • Work across a broad portfolio of clients in sectors that matter
  • A collaborative, people-first culture backed by the global capability of Synechron
  • Ongoing investment in your professional development, certifications, and growth
  • A team of experienced technologists who value depth, quality, and doing things properly

Why join Synechron

At Synechron, we believe exceptional work happens when talented people are empowered to grow, innovate and lead. You’ll be joining a globally recognised technology consulting firm delivering cutting-edge digital transformation across industries including financial services, insurance, government and enterprise sectors.

What you can expect:

  • Competitive salary package
  • Access to global technology and innovation initiatives
  • Continuous learning and professional development opportunities
  • Annual professional training allowance
  • Mentoring and career progression pathways
  • Employee recognition programs and awards
  • Corporate discounts and wellbeing initiatives
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Social events, networking opportunities and team activities
