Texas Instruments (TI) Radar Software Team is looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer - Radar Signal Processing Lead to join our team.
At TI Radar Software Team, our Software Developers architect, design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate embedded programs for variety of Radar SOC devices. You will lead and mentor a dynamic engineering team, architect, design, and analyze existing solutions while developing innovative algorithms for new generation SOC devices; coding and testing/debugging programs. You will develop conversion and system implementation plans, prepare system and programming documentation as per software development process. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of TI's Radar technology portfolio while leading breakthrough innovations in autonomous systems and industrial sensing applications.
This role will integrate requirements from multiple business applications into the software SDK and Security architecture, delivering accurate, scalable, user-friendly SW solutions. Role also provides opportunities to gain high visibility into all layers of the radar organization, including Business managers, Application team, Systems architecture, SOC design team and ROM Firmware development teams. About the organization: In Radar BU, we develop mm-wave (60GHz and 77Hz) chips for automotive and industrial applications. Our mm-wave radar chips are critical in enabling a broad spectrum of high-tech use-cases, such as, environment sensing for autonomous and assisted driving of vehicles (ADAS functionalities), in-cabin sensing for seat-belt alerts and child-left-behind alerts, people sensing for indoor lighting and temperature control, human gesture sensing in intelligent gadgets, and sensing for robotics in factories, smart-homes and buildings. Our complex radar transceivers and systems-on-chip are an outcome of cutting-edge R&D across multiple disciplines (winner and 3-time finalist at Jack Kilby Award of Innovation), meticulous collaboration of our brightest and diligent analog, digital, systems, test, validation, packaging, and software technologists, as well as sophisticated measurement labs and sustained backing from TI leadership. These multi-core chips include high-end mm-wave amplifiers, PLLs, data convertors, signal processing and cryptography accelerators, processors, memories, AI/ML algorithms, built-in-self-tests, functional safety hardware and software, and power management, and have extremely challenging power, cost and performance specifications.
