As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Payments Technology group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications, engaging in business analysis activities, and leading application onboarding processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business analysis skills, and experience in integrating applications into IAM and cloud environments.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and maintains full-stack Java applications with a focus on IAM and cloud integration

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications

  • Implements and integrates IAM solutions to enhance security and user management

  • Leads application onboarding processes, ensuring seamless integration with IAM and cloud platforms

  • Develops and maintains RESTful APIs and microservices for cloud-based applications

  • Conducts business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology solutions

  • Ensures high performance, scalability, and reliability of applications

  • Conducts code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery

  • Updates latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement

  • Mentors and guides junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of expert Full Stack Java Developer, with a focus on IAM, cloud technologies, business analysis, and application onboarding

  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and related technologies

  • Experience with IAM tools and platforms (e.g., Okta, ForgeRock, Microsoft Azure AD)

  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native development

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management

  • Proven experience in application onboarding and integration processes.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js) is a plus

  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • Familiarity with security standards and protocols (e.g., OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect)
