About the role | He Aha Te Tūranga

As the Lead Software Engineer, you are responsible for leading a team of software developers and engineers with a dedicated focus on a single project or set of related software products.

You'll design, build, deliver and support software solutions that meet diverse business needs. You'll lead development initiatives, apply product thinking to create modern and scalable solutions, and champion best practices that maximise value from our technology investments.

Drawing on your deep technical expertise, you'll mentor and coach others, drive continuous improvement, and help build a high-performing development team.

About you | Ko Wai Koe

You'll bring experience leading software development teams and delivering successful technology initiatives, with the ability to mentor others and drive strong technical outcomes.

You'll have hands-on experience developing modern applications using technologies such as Node.js, C#, React and Angular, along with a solid understanding of web application architecture and development best practices.

Experience working with SQL Server or PostgreSQL, ORM technologies, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure will enable you to deliver scalable, reliable and maintainable solutions.

  • Architectural mindset with demonstrated knowledge of software engineering principles

  • Understanding of modern web applications

  • Advocate for good software engineering practices such as automated acceptance testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery

  • Degree qualification in relevant IT discipline
