The Purpose of This Role

As aLeadSoftware Engineer within Quality Engineering Chapter,youwill focus onbuilding test automationsolutionsfor UX/Mobileand/or API testing for highly available systems. You will beworking directly with otherPeer Quality Engineers,Software Developers, Architectsand business stakeholders to translate visionand designs into sustainable business solutions. You will be responsible for the developmentand maintenanceoftest automationsolutionsforcomplex software applications, ensuring they are built with qualityand adhering to the engineering practices, performance and responsive to the device accessing the application.

ThisLeadSoftware Engineer within Quality Engineering Chapterwill play a key role within Fidelity’s Workplace Investments Digital Platforms team. The individual will work closely with the Scrum master, Systems analysts, Architects, Developers and otherQEresourcesand contribute towards deliveringbest customer experience.

Responsibilities of thisrole

• Translating business and systems requirements into test strategy,test scenarios and test plans

• Designing, developing, documentingand maintainingoptimizedautomated testscripts.

• Rotational QE- On-call Support in Prod and Preprod infrastructure

• Adhering to Engineering Practices in development of automationframework.

• Understand and apply BDD design concepts to test software solutions.

• Delivering accurate and maintainable code for automation and software utilities.

• Measure and Report keyQEmetrics

• Accessibility Testing on web and mobile pages/app.

• Contribute towards QualityEngineering chapter initiatives.

• Collaborating with other technical resources to:

• Suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.

• Identify opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platform.

• 6-9years’ experiencepredominantly in software test Quality Engineering

• Deep expertise indifferent types oftesting

• Hands-onSoftware Development in Testexperience, which includes any of the following:

• 5+ years ofusingprogramming languages likeJavaScriptTypescript

• 5+ years of automation scripting experience (not record and playback)

• Good understanding ofBDD, CI-CD and DevOps conceptsis mandatory

• Expertise infollowingis required

• Playwright

• Validation ofRESTful web services

• Jenkins (CI/CD Pipelines)

• Experiencein thefollowing is a strong plus:

• Xcode, Swift, Objective C, Kotlin

• Client, Server Architecture

• Cloud certification in (AWSAzure)

• WebDriver.IO

• Service Virtualization(Wire-Mock)

• Understanding and working experience of Non-functional testingwould be added plus.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• 6-9years’ experience predominantly in software testQuality Engineering.

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering

• Quality Engineering mindset with deep expertise in different types of testing

• Hands on expertise inPlaywright TestingFramework& Jenkins

• Hand on expertise incoding languageTypescript JavaScript.
