Lead Software Engineer – Shape the Future of Sustainable Forestry Technology

In this role, you will be at the forefront of digitalizing the forestry sector, owning the full-stack architecture and technical specifications that directly empower major industrial clients to optimize sustainable resources globally.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

• Play an integral role in architecting and shaping the long-term technical roadmap for our core forestry products

• Collaborate closely with an elite team of expert software engineers and domain subject matter experts

• Deliver high-impact, meaningful automation for wood procurement processes that directly champion compliance and global sustainability

• Innovate within an organization that is investing heavily in product modernization, advanced cloud systems, and AI technologies

Essential Skills & Experience

• Competence and work experience in web application development +5 years

• AWS/Azure Cloud infrastructure management and cloud development skills

• Understanding and experience of software architecture design and patterns

• Experience in container-based backends, ECS, ECR or equivalent

• Fluency in English and knowing Finnish language is an advantage

Bonus Points For

• Python development experience

• Experience in asynchronous and message based application development such as message queues and service busses

• Experience in geospatial databases, frameworks and tools like PostGis, GDAL, OGR and Proj4

• Experience in information security management systems (e.g. ISO27001 or SOC2), secure software development and best practises

• MS/BS in Computer Science, Forestry, Management Information Systems, MBA, or equivalent
