
Pay and Benefits:
As a Lead Software Engineer on the UTC Modernization program, you will lead the transformation of core trade processing systems by modernizing legacy UTC applications into cloud ready, event driven architectures. This role is critical to advancing DTCC’s multi year modernization strategy, improving resiliency, scalability, and real time processing capabilities across post trade platforms.
You will drive the design and implementation of distributed backend services leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and relational databases, supporting key functions such as MPID processing, trade validation, and data synchronization across systems. Your work will directly impact the accuracy, timeliness, and stability of trade processing workflows.
In addition to hands on development, you will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions, ensuring solutions are aligned with enterprise standards, risk controls, and operational excellence. You will collaborate across squads and platform teams to deliver robust, production grade solutions that strengthen DTCC’s role as trusted market infrastructure.
