Lead E-Commerce Quality Assurance and Automation as Our Next Lead SDET Engineer

Trimble is seeking a collaborative engineering leader to direct quality strategies for our global e-commerce platforms. You will architect robust UI, API, and performance testing frameworks while mentoring a talented engineering team to deliver seamless digital experiences.

What Makes This Role Great

In this role, you will hold complete technical ownership over the e-commerce quality ecosystem, bridging advanced automation with strategic leadership by serving as a proxy scrum master and cross-functional collaborator to drive an ambitious 80% automation standard across diverse time zones.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

• Partner with architects and product owners globally to align test strategies with overall system architectures

• Design, develop, and scale highly reusable test automation frameworks covering complex frontend UI, REST APIs, and backend integrations

• Direct the execution of manual, automation, and performance test suites while managing end-to-end environment setups.

• Champion a high-performance culture by providing direct technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to an agile team of 2 to 3 engineers.

• Integrate automated tests and quality metrics directly into active CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous release confidence.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Solid professional experience spanning 7 to 12 years strictly within dedicated SDET or QA leadership roles.

• Core proficiency in TypeScript and Playwright for building modern web automation frameworks.

• Secondary development familiarity with Java or Python alongside testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, or Postman.

• Hands-on experience executing performance testing suites utilizing JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling to diagnose complex bottlenecks.

• Comprehensive grasp of Agile Scrum frameworks, risk mitigation planning, and managing automated suites inside CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Bonus Points For

• Deep domain knowledge of e-commerce web platform testing strategies and active hands-on familiarity with the AWS cloud ecosystem.

• Academic foundation consisting of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical discipline.
