Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for a Lead Engineer / Architect who is a true Kubernetes subject matter expert and can take ownership of platform architecture, scalability, and technical direction.

This is not a DevOps-only role. We need a hands-on engineering leader who deeply understands distributed systems, container orchestration, and cloud-native architecture — and can also contribute to application development when needed. You’ll work across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure while guiding architectural decisions that impact the entire platform.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments and enjoys setting technical standards while remaining close to the code.

Primary Responsibilities

• Own and drive architecture decisions across a Kubernetes-based platform
• Serve as the go-to expert for Kubernetes design, scaling, and optimization
• Design and implement backend services using Golang
• Collaborate on frontend architecture and integration (React)
• Architect and maintain cloud-native systems in Azure (primary) and AWS (secondary)
• Define best practices around containerization, orchestration, observability, and system reliability
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions
• Lead technical discussions and mentor senior engineers
• Balance long-term architectural vision with hands-on execution

Some Must-Haves:

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes (design, scaling, troubleshooting, production operations)
• Strong backend development experience with Golang
• Significant experience building systems in Azure
• Working knowledge of AWS environments
• Experience collaborating on or contributing to React-based frontends
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture
• Experience operating production systems with high reliability standards
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical initiatives
• Strong English (written and verbal)

Other Information

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
