Job Description

Responsible for activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through civil, erection and commissioning work, as well as management activities related to this scope. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall Site Lead Manager for Execution of the Sub-Station Project within the project time frame.
  • GE Site Representative for the Customer and responsible for maintaining high level of customer relationship and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish the GEV Site Management Process, Site Environment Health & Safety Policy Plan, Security, Housekeeping, Fire Protection and Quality Assurance Policy on the Construction Site
  • Implement the Overall Project Safety Program and ensure adherence to National, Regional & Local Regulatory Safety & Health Codes.
  • Establish the Site Infrastructure, Site Rules & Regulation, Site Organization, Site Resources plan and Site Monthly Expense Costing detailing.
  • Ensure corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented and if necessary, establish project procedures and objectives to address site or project specific conditions.
  • Planning & scheduling of all site execution activities.
  • Review project cost and schedule performance through analysis of project reports and data. Coordinate with the project planning & cost controller.
  • Monitor and analyze project safety, cost, schedule, and quality performance and ensure
    appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  • Control project expenditures for equipment, material and services and ensure field
    operations are within budget.
  • Establish control of all activities with all sub-contractor (Civil / MEP / Electrical / Testing & Commissioning) and plan the activities for day-to-day basis.
  • Co-ordination with customer for day-to-day activities and progress reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly basis to Customer.
  • Co-ordination with all different sub-contractor agencies for the execution and progress planning.
  • Review of installation drawings and execution as per the drawings.
  • Forecasting in advance of critical tasks / material requirements to avoid delays.
  • Implementation of all Installation method statements and risk assessments.
  • Receiving of all Equipment’s / Materials and arranging inspection with client.
  • Reporting of Non-Conformance Reporting related to failures of Equipment’s / Components
  • Monitoring & Control of for safety & security of site materials.
  • Developing of red markup drawings modification as per site requirement for As Built Drawings.
  • Reporting of ROE for the completed project for each activity.
  • Control & Over-See SE responsibilities in case of absence or non-assignment of SE.
  • Supports ITO Team with conducting site visits for Electrical & associated Works and provide detail technical report of Primary Equipment’s system of the sub-station project.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering & Registered in Saudi Council of Engineering.

  • Minimum 8 years' experience as Site Construction of 380 KV EHV Sub-Station Project

  • Must have had approval from Saudi Energy Company as Site Manager from past Projects

  • Implement GEV Site Management Process, Site Environment Health & Safety Policy Plan, Security, Housekeeping, Fire Protection and Quality Assurance Policy on the Construction Site
  • Strong Technical Knowledge of Electrical System- EHV / HV / MV / LV Equipment’s Erection Works.
  • Understanding of Electrical Standards – IEC & Local Regulations
  • Overall Site Execution Coordination with all Internal Functions & External Sub-Contractor agencies for day-to-day Site Execution Works Electrical Installation Works.
  • Transparent communication with Customer / Consultants for day-to-day Site Activities and Progress Update.
  • Must be acquainted with systematic Major Sub-station Equipment’s Erection Sequential Process & Knowledge of Testing & Commissioning Works.
  • Safety Awareness and Process of Working in LIVE Sub-Stations.
  • Acquainted with Project Progress Documentation & Reporting Process.
  • Site Materials Storage, Safety & Security handling of Project Equipment’s and Materials
