Job Description

Power Conversion equipment keeps critical industries running — from offshore platforms to renewable energy systems. As a Lead Services Specialist in Customer Support Engineering, you sit at the intersection of technical expertise and customer impact. You will be the primary point of contact for spare parts identification, quoting, and order fulfillment, helping customers maintain operational continuity while working with cross-functional teams across the globe.
This is a role for someone who finds satisfaction in solving complex technical puzzles and knowing that their work directly keeps critical infrastructure operational.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end spare parts process: identify project spare parts, assess lifecycle status, and define replacement strategies within the Global Parts catalog.

  • Engage directly with customers to convert quote and order requests into accurate, deliverable parts — drawing on engineering drawings, renewal parts books, databases, and catalogs.

  • Conduct project obsolescence studies and proactively categorize spares by customer function criticality, coordinating with qualified vendors to validate part definitions, availability, pricing, and replacement options.

  • Collaborate with engineering groups to improve internal record accuracy, document replacement strategies for obsolete components, and ensure part definition attributes are complete and maintained in a timely manner.

  • Partner across Spares and Repairs, Engineering, Sourcing, Order Management, and Global Field Sales teams to support sales initiatives and provide technical input on part substitution and interchangeability.

Who You Are

You are a technically grounded engineering professional with hands-on experience in Power Conversion systems, comfortable navigating complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) and translating technical specifications into actionable customer solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited institution — or equivalent professional experience in a related technical discipline.

  • Relevant experience in design engineering, field engineering, manufacturing, shop assembly, or spare/replacement parts management.

  • Technical knowledge of industrial drive systems — Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) — and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.

  • Experience in Oil & Gas, offshore, marine, metals, or renewable energy industries.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical specifications and translate BOMs into parts orders.

  • Strong written and verbal English fluency.

Preferred

  • Prior experience with SAP or a comparable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

  • Familiarity with Teamcenter or a comparable Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

  • Proficiency with analytical tools including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint — including data mining, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
