Le Superviseur de Chantier GIS Haute Tension est responsable de la supervision sur site des activités de montage, maintenance, réparations et modernisation (retrofit) des postes GIS. Job Purpose
The High Voltage GIS Site Supervisor is responsible for on-site supervision of installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization (retrofit) activities for GIS substations. The role represents GE Vernova on site and ensures work is executed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with EHS requirements, U.S. regulations, and GE Vernova standards.

Responsabilités principales

  • Superviser et coordonner les équipes terrain GE Vernova et les sous-traitants
  • Planifier et piloter les activités de montage, maintenance, réparation et modernisation des postes GIS HT (69 kV – 800 kV)
  • Garantir l’exécution des travaux conformément aux procédures GE Vernova, normes IEC / IEEE, exigences contractuelles et attentes client
  • Appliquer et faire respecter strictement les règles EHS de GE Vernova et les exigences sécurité du site
  • Contrôler la qualité des travaux, gérer les inspections, audits et points d’arrêt (hold points)
  • Animer les réunions de sécurité, analyses de risques (JSA/AHA) et briefings quotidiens
  • Être l’interlocuteur principal du client sur site
  • Identifier, analyser et résoudre les problématiques techniques liées aux équipements GIS
  • Assurer le reporting quotidien, hebdomadaire et final des activités de chantier
  • Supporter les activités de mise en service et d’essais haute tension si requis
  • Former, encadrer et développer les techniciens et superviseurs juniors

Compliance réglementaire US – OSHA & Sécurité

Le titulaire du poste est responsable de la conformité aux réglementations et standards de sécurité américains :

  • Conformité aux exigences OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), notamment :
    • 29 CFR 1910 – General Industry
    • 29 CFR 1926 – Construction
  • Application des exigences NFPA 70E relatives à la sécurité électrique, aux limites d’approche et à la protection contre les arcs électriques
  • Mise en œuvre et contrôle strict des procédures LOTO (Lockout / Tagout)
  • Réalisation et validation des Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) avant toute activité
  • Vérification des formations, habilitations, certifications et EPI du personnel
  • Participation active aux audits EHS, inspections OSHA et actions correctives
  • Exercice de l’ autorité d’arrêt de travail (Stop Work Authority) en cas de danger
  • Promotion de la culture Zéro Accident / Zero Harm de GE Vernova

Compétences et qualifications

  • Expertise confirmée des postes GIS Haute Tension (69 kV – 800 kV)
  • Solide expérience en montage, maintenance, réparation et modernisation GIS
  • Excellente maîtrise des exigences EHS, LOTO et pratiques de travail sécurisées
  • Capacité à lire et interpréter schémas électriques, mécaniques et plans d’implantation
  • Leadership terrain, autonomie et forte culture sécurité
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et relation client
  • Anglais courant (oral et écrit) – le français est un atout
  • Autorisation légale de travail aux États-Unis

Formation

  • Diplôme technique ou ingénieur en électrotechnique / génie électrique ou équivalent
  • Certifications HV, EHS, OSHA, NFPA 70E appréciées

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate GE Vernova field teams and subcontractors
  • Plan and manage installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization activities for HV GIS systems (69 kV – 800 kV)
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with GE Vernova procedures, IEC / IEEE standards, contract requirements, and customer expectations
  • Enforce strict compliance with GE Vernova EHS policies and site safety rules
  • Monitor work quality and manage inspections, audits, and hold points
  • Lead safety meetings, Job Safety Analyses (JSA/AHA), and daily toolbox talks
  • Serve as the primary on-site interface with the customer
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve GIS-related technical issues
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and final site progress reports
  • Support commissioning and high-voltage testing activities when required
  • Coach and mentor junior supervisors and technicians

US Regulatory Compliance – OSHA & Safety

The Site Supervisor is accountable for compliance with U.S. safety regulations, including:

  • Compliance with OSHA regulations, including:
    • 29 CFR 1910 – General Industry
    • 29 CFR 1926 – Construction
  • Enforcement of NFPA 70E electrical safety and arc flash requirements
  • Implementation and verification of Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Ensuring JSA / AHA are completed, communicated, and followed prior to work execution
  • Verification of required training, certifications, and PPE for all site personnel
  • Participation in EHS audits, OSHA inspections, and corrective action plans
  • Exercising Stop Work Authority when unsafe or non-compliant conditions are identified
  • Promoting GE Vernova’s Zero Harm safety culture on site

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven expertise with High Voltage GIS substations (69 kV – 800 kV)
  • Strong background in installation, maintenance, repair, and retrofit activities
  • Solid knowledge of EHS, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and LOTO requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and layout drawings
  • Strong field leadership and customer communication skills
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); French is a plus
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Education

  • Technical degree or engineering background in Electrical Engineering or equivalent HV, EHS, OSHA, NFPA 70E certifications are an advantage
