  • Provide on the job training for new security officers. Monitor the physical appearance of the security staff
  • Monitor hotel premises for security breaches or suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries or reports of incidents.
  • Assist in emergency response situations, such as fires or medical emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures concerning safety.
  • Document incidents and prepare reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement as needed during incidents.
  • Perform access control and monitor guest and staff entries.
  • Evaluate and resolve conflicts or disturbances among guests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring safety.
  • Maintain surveillance footage and other security documentation.
  • Conduct security training for staff members.
  • Implement safety protocols during high-traffic events.
  • Assist in the investigation of theft or property damage.
  • Respond to alarms and monitor security systems.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Certification in first aid and CPR.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Ambiance and Tracktik knowledge preferred
  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Understanding of security systems and surveillance technology.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Demands

This position requires:

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. or more
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, and call back hours when required
