Job Description

As Lead Security in our legendary music and entertainment venues, you'll be the primary point of contact for the security team, ensuring a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience for guests, artists, and staff. With a hospitality-first approach, you'll lead daily security staff operations for events and ensure safety and security incidents are handled properly and reported to management according to brand SOP. As the ideal candidate you'll use your solid grasp of safety protocols, strong leadership, and communication skills to maintain a harmonious environment. Reports to Manager Safety & Security.
  • Support public safety efforts and assist with conduct issues that occur during assigned shift.
  • Assist with operational direction of security officers. Outline post assignments and duties for each officer.
  • Perform safety and security duties, including maintaining order, directing traffic, checking identification and enforcing policies as outlined in defined procedures, including age- and alcoholrelated policies.
  • Ensure officer(s) are on post at the required time. Plan coverage for required breaks and reduce staff when appropriate. Notify venue leadership regarding any changes in staffing.
  • Lead pre-shift staff meetings to relay event-specific information. Alert Safety & Security Manager on Duty to any concerns.
  • Monitor security staff to ensure all company policies are followed. Provide on-the-job training to new security officers. Monitor the physical appearance of security staff.
  • Respond to emergencies (medical, fire, weather, etc.) by assisting guests and coordinating evacuations. Work with local law enforcement and first responders to manage incidents, including determining severity and supporting recovery.
  • In the event of an emergency, provide basic medical assistance until EMTs arrive. Administer first aid, CPR, and AED when necessary.
  • Prepare incident and accident reports. Document details in a centralized digital system.
  • Monitor the property's safety and security systems, CCTV and fire suppression systems as required. Conduct safety inspections as needed. Report safety hazards (including defective equipment) in a timely manner.
  • Model company service basics. Communicate and uphold corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
  • 1+ years' security or law enforcement experience required with entertainment/hospitality and crowd control experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office require
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support business needs
Licenses / Certifications
  • State of Texas Unarmed Security License (Level II Non-Commissioned) required upon hire
  • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Crowd Management Training provided upon hire
  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry training certification required within 120 days of hire

This position requires a pre-employment drug screening (4-panel: phencyclidine, cocaine, amphetamines and opiates).
Physical Requirements
Use all senses, including vision (near, far, and color), hearing, and smell to observe surroundings for safety hazards. Communicate clearly, both verbally and through radio communication. Stand and walk continuously and frequently climb and descend stairs and uneven terrain. Frequently lift/carry up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Move and react quickly, including bending, reaching, lifting, and climbing. Maintain extended periods of mental focus.
Working Conditions
Entertainment environments, indoors and outdoors, with large crowds and elevated noise levels.
