$150000 - $195000 / year
The Scheduler develops, maintains, monitors, and analyzes project schedules for RailWorks’ construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and resource coordination.
• Creates and maintains detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
• Coordinates with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align timelines.
• Identifiesy potential scheduling conflicts and proposes solutions.
• Monitors project progress, updates timelines, and provides status reports.
• Assists in resource planning and allocation to optimize project performance.
• Reviews Contracts and implements Contract Specific Schedule requirements.
• Schedules activities for the full life cycle of the project including procurement, construction, start-up, operations, and close out.
• Uses and maintains resources in P6.
• Reads plans and completes quantity takeoffs.
• Writes detailed schedule narratives to support the schedule.
• Uses the project estimate and cost reports to develop activity durations.
• Progresses the schedule on a regular basis as determined by the project.
• Prepares reports, graphs, and tables for project resources and milestones
• Compares and analyzes each progress update to monitor productivity and identify change.
• Prepares Time Impact packages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of construction scheduling experience, preferably with experience in rail, rail signaling, and rail power distribution.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software
• Experience using Citrix based P6, combining multiple schedules, managed by multiple schedulers, into a single project schedule
• Experience comparing project schedules and completing Time Impact / Claims analysis
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of project management and project controls
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
• Desk, computer, and meeting work.
• Minimal physical demands beyond standard office activity.
