Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary for Hollydeck, Pool, Marina, and all other resort operations areas:

  • Responsible for providing training to Resort Attendants according to established guidelines. Supports operational goals and reports performance concerns and issues to Hotel Services leadership.
  • Responsible for resort operations areas appear according to established guidelines.  Assists with debris pick up as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring Resort Attendants are performing their job duties according to established guidelines and ensuring adequate coverage at assigned posts. Reports Team Member performance issues and concerns to Hotel Services leadership to address accordingly.
  • Assists Food and Beverage leadership by creating and maintaining and food running schedule for applicable Hollydeck Team Members. Reports concerns and issues to leadership.
  • Performs jobs of Valet Runner as needed. This includes but is not limited to greeting guests and checking in vehicles, parking and retreiving guest vehicles, assisting guests with using TEZ technology, etc.
  • Ensures all policies and internal controls are followed. Suggests improvements as needed.
  • Assists Hotel Services leadership with ensuring inventory par levels are maintained. Orders product when assigned.
  • Performs jobs of Resort Attendant as needed. This includes but is not limited to delivering food to Pool and Hollydeck areas with a high caliber of guest service, stocking clean towels and removing dirty towels from pool deck area, ensuring only authorized guests are using pool and marina areas, cleaning trash from pool, Hollydeck,Marina, and all resort operations areas.
  • Inspects Hollydeck, Pool, and Marina areas and reports issues and concerns to Hotel Services leadership. Submits applicable help desk tickets for repairs as needed.
  • Greets incoming boaters and assigns docking spaces. Assists boaters with loading and unloading.
  • Takes reservation requests for marina slip rentals and provides guests with rental information.
  • Assists with enforcing no outside food or beverage policy with boating guests.
  • Performs routine patrols of the dock and marina. Reports issues to Hotel Services leadership and submits applicable help desk tickets for repairs as needed.
  • Logs arrivals, departures, and incidents for Hollydeck and Marina. Reports issues to Hotel Services leadership.
  • Ensures boats are securely tied to boat cleats and notifies boat captains of issues.
  • Responsible for answering the Resort Attendant shift phone and responding to requests as needed. Escalates issues and concerns to Hotel Services leadership.
  • Responsible for checking area cameras on Resort Attendant shift phone and attending to areas needing attention. Reports issues and concerns to Hotel Services leadership.
  • Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
  • Remains current on all casino events and promotions. Assists guests with all inquiries. This includes but is not limited to handing Hollydeck menus to boating guests.
  • Assists with enforcing the day pier spaces are only Hollydeck guests only.
  • Responsible for promptly notifying leadership of any issues that may arise.
  • Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.
  • Resolves service problems according to established guidelines. Escalates issues to Hotel Services leadership.
  • Provides fast, friendly, professional beverage service to guests.
  • Remains knowledgeable on all products in outlet, in addition to all casino events, amenities, and promotions.
  • Suggests and upsells products according to amenity availability to increase sales and guest loyalty.
  • Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • General Education Degree (GED) or High School Diploma; one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable on how to tie off boats in a marina setting and be familiar with boats and boat safety.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be able to work high volume days, nights, holidays, and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be able to work outdoors and around water.
  • Ability to work in small areas in a fast paced and often crowded environment.
  • Must be able to swim (especially in marina environments).
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have good written and oral communication and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Must successfully complete applicable responsible alcohol training.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn Entertainment’s auto insurance carrier.
