Lead Registered Veterinary Technician – South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital
Hourly Wage: $30–$37/hour (depending on experience) + potential retention bonus

Join our team at South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital, where we’ve been providing compassionate, high-quality care for pets and their families for over 35 years.

We’re looking for a Lead RVT who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and is ready to support and guide a strong technician team.

This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role in a fully equipped hospital where you’ll have the tools and support you need to do your best work every day.

As a Lead RVT, you’ll play a key role in both patient care and team support.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures

Leading and supporting RVT team members to maintain high standards of care and workflow efficiency

Monitoring anesthesia and assisting in surgery

Running laboratory diagnostics and supporting treatment planning

Educating clients on patient care, medications, and recovery

Maintaining accurate medical records and hospital compliance

Supporting onboarding and training of new team members

Managing supplies, inventory, and equipment cleanliness

What we’re looking for:

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to stay organized and calm in a busy environment

Compassionate, detail-oriented approach to patient care

Leadership experience is an asset, but not required
