In this role, you will ensure operational compliance to specifications and quality standards. You will also support the resolution of quality issues and the internal/external audit process.Core Duties:Line management responsibility for Quality Team direct reportsProvide subject matter expertise with regards to quality standards, operations tools and techniquesRepresent the Quality function within technical forums, working groups, and Central/CTO activitiesWork with the Quality Team to develop plans for operational improvement, improvements in quality compliance, and monitoring of progress against planSupport resolution of quality issues, the internal audit process, external audits, and any audit NCR’sSupport Process Readiness Review (PRR) / APQP, performing Quality Dept. reviews of process readiness, and supporting the optimisation of both processesEssential Skills:You will have Qualification(s) in an engineering discipline (Science or Engineering degree, HNC, HND) or time served in an Engineering disciplineYou will have excellent numeracy and mechanical comprehensionYou will have demonstrable experience with statistical control methods and systems, with a proven ability to implement and use appropriatelyYou will have experience within a manufacturing environment of a similarly highly controlled nature (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, medical devices etc)The Products Quality team:The Products Quality team is a friendly and collaborative group, working across a diverse range of projects and manufacturing programmes at multiple sites. This role is focused on our underwater battlespace activities based at Broad Oak, Portsmouth.You’ll join a well-established team that partners closely with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders.
