Hybrid WorkingTo foster a high performing, learning centric team. Accountable for ensuring the products developed meet the quality standards & acceptance criteria in line with LBG’s; Group Test Strategy, Engineering Standard & Guardrails & Tech Strategy.
Will be an active member of the LBG QE Community to advance shared capabilities.

  • Exp : 15 + years
    location : Hyderabad

    What you’ll do:

Within the D2C Investments Platform, our newly formed Invest AI Lab is focused on discovering how advanced AI systems can reshape the investing experience for millions of UK customers. This includes systems that reason, decide, and act autonomously within clearly defined boundaries.

As a Lead Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the future of our product development, shaping the way we design, build, test and deploy using innovative technology — including cloud‑native and AI‑powered systems.

You’ll work collaboratively with other team members, partners and third parties to ensure that quality, performance, and trust are built into AI-driven platforms and services that operate at enterprise scale and serve millions of users.

  • Lead quality strategy for complex, distributed, and AI‑enabled systems, including emerging agentic patterns.
  • Own application-level performance, scalability, and resilience testing to ensure platforms meet customer, operational, and regulatory expectations.
  • Define and evolve approaches for testing non-deterministic systems, including LLM-powered workflows, agent orchestration, and AI-assisted journeys.
  • Establish robust approaches for functional, integration, exploratory, accessibility, and automated testing across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Agree end-to-end functional and integration test scope for each release, clearly defining ownership boundaries between the lab and partner / third-party teams.
  • Align test approach and evidence to customer-defined service levels (SLOs/NFRs) and communicate integrated testing progress, risks, and readiness in collaboration with partner teams.
  • Embed quality early by collaborating with engineers, product partners, and third parties, influencing design decisions for reliability, maintainability, and safe adoption of AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Act as a technical leader and mentor for Quality Engineers, helping shape standards, frameworks, and modern quality practices across the lab and wider platform.
  • What you’ll need:

  • Design and build diligent, maintainable, and modular automation frameworks/suites.
  • Complete exploratory functional and accessibility testing alongside automated testing.
  • Ability to define test plans, test data requirements, and outcome reporting that evidence the quality of the software we ship.
  • Experience testing cloud-native platforms, with strong familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the quality considerations of distributed cloud systems.
  • Experience working with complex architectures and data ecosystems (e.g., data mesh / data products) and their quality considerations, ideally on GCP and associated tooling.
  • Practical understanding of AI-enabled and agentic systems, including the challenge of evaluating non-deterministic outcomes, maintaining regression confidence, and assuring trustworthiness in production.
  • Familiarity with LLM / agent evaluation approaches, with exposure to tooling such as Vertex AI evaluation capabilities or equivalent evaluation patterns.
  • Confidence embedding quality into CI/CD pipelines using tooling such as Git and Harness, ensuring robust quality gates and safe, controlled releases.
  • Strong understanding of programming principles and standard methodologies for crafting reusable, modular, and maintainable code.
  • We hope that you'll apply if:

  • You intimately understand BDD Best Practice.
  • You are excited by the challenge of assuring AI-enabled and agentic systems, including how to test behaviour, evaluate outcomes, and manage non-deterministic risk.
  • You're able to work without supervision and offer mentorship and leadership to others.
  • Using automated testing tools (such as Appium, WebDriverIO, Cucumber, Perfecto, Selenium) doesn't faze you.
  • Reviewing colleague's work and providing feedback to others in a constructive and positive way is something you enjoy.
  • Working with modern Agile practices is something that motivates and excites you!
  • You have effective communication skills and can clearly present ideas and provide direction to others.
