Position: Lead QA/QC Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead QA/QC Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil, mechanical, and piping engineering, with a major focus on electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems. As the Lead QA/QC Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities are carried out in accordance with company and industry standards, codes, and regulations. You will lead a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors and work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for civil, mechanical, and piping projects, with a focus on E&I systems
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
- Lead a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors and provide guidance and support as needed
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential quality issues and make recommendations for improvement
- Monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve any quality issues that may arise
- Conduct training and provide support to project teams on quality control processes and procedures
- Prepare and submit quality reports to management and clients as required
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations and ensure that the company's quality processes are in compliance with them
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on quality-related matters
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues
- Ensure that all quality records and documentation are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in QA/QC in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on E&I systems
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to civil, mechanical, and piping engineering
- Proven experience in leading a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in using quality control tools and software
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus
