Job Description

Lead QA Engineer Role - 10 Month Contract

Background and Experience Required:

  • Years of Experience
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Test Management
  • Experience with Test Management tools configuration
  • Solid understanding of Test Management throughout the lifecycle (SDLC & STLC)

Must-Have Skills (Mandatory Skills):

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in test management tools
  • Ability to align testing efforts with business goals
  • Skilled in handling test status meetings, retrospectives, and presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish a collaborative relationship with product teams
  • Knowledge of test metrics and reporting for stakeholders
  • Understanding of Shift-Left Testing
  • Encouraging a continuous learning culture in QA teams
  • Good work ethic

Responsibilities:

  • Test Management:
    • Test Strategy & Planning: Establish and enforce QA best practices and industry standards
    • Test Execution & Delivery
    • Oversee test case design, execution, and defect management
    • Ensure functional, non-functional (performance, security, usability), and automation testing is performed
    • Ensure automation is integrated with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
    • Balance manual vs. automated testing for maximum effectiveness
    • Identify and mitigate testing risks proactively
    • Ensure regression testing is conducted before every release
    • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and industry best practices
    • Maintain documentation for audit and reporting purposes
    • Provide test status updates, dashboards, and key metrics to leadership
    • Communicate risks, defects, and test progress clearly to stakeholders
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • Drive process improvements using Agile, DevOps, and Shift-Left testing approaches
    • Stay updated with emerging trends in testing methodologies, tools, and AI-driven testing
    • Implement lessons learned from previous projects to refine testing practices
