Key Responsibilities
Work closely with your Scrum team to improve the quality of features delivered through robust automated testing
Design, code, and maintain effective automated test suites aligned with feature development
Collaborate with engineers to ensure features are designed to support testability
Analyze functional and technical designs to create test cases that reveal code deficiencies
Review peer engineering work to ensure high quality, consistency, and adherence to standards
Provide leadership within the Quality Engineering Guild by sharing knowledge and best practices
Support test data management and test automation initiatives
Evaluate, prototype, and help select testing tools, frameworks, and processes
Implement approaches to significantly reduce regression cycle times
Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Champion functional test automation and drive adoption of cutting-edge practices
Serve as technical owner of WSI’s test automation framework
Identify opportunities to execute test automation closer to feature development
Improve automation suite effectiveness and execution performance
Qualifications
Demonstrated programming and automation engineering capability
10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Analysis roles
Strong understanding of software development best practices
Expertise in quality engineering methodologies, tools, and standards
Deep knowledge of test automation design patterns such as Page Object Model
Ability to review, understand, and contribute to technical designs
Strong written and verbal communication of testing strategies
Proven passion for continuous improvement and engineering excellence
Advanced experience with Selenium + Java, WebDriver, Playwright + JavaScript, JUnit, or TestNG
Experience testing large, heterogeneous systems end-to-end
Knowledge of test reporting and management tools such as Allure and TestRail
Experience building and maintaining UI, API, and end-to-end automation frameworks
Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and collaborative development workflows
