We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with 9+ years of experience in software quality engineering and a strong track record of building scalable automation frameworks rather than simply operating existing test suites.

The role requires deep expertise across UI automation, API testing, backend validation, CI/CD, performance engineering, event-driven systems, and cloud-native applications. You will play a key role in establishing robust quality engineering practices, improving test automation coverage, and embedding continuous testing throughout the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on engineering capabilities with the ability to design maintainable automation architecture and drive quality improvements across complex software systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for complex software applications.
• Develop robust UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or comparable frameworks.
• Build automated API and integration tests using tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent technologies.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, API, data, and end-to-end testing.
• Implement backend and database validation using SQL and other data-validation techniques.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid quality feedback.
• Work with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms to automate test execution and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, reliability, execution speed, and maintainability.
• Design reusable automation components, utilities, libraries, and frameworks that can scale across products and teams.
• Perform root-cause analysis of test failures and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve defects and quality issues.
• Develop testing approaches for event-driven and distributed systems, including Kafka-based applications.
• Contribute to performance engineering, including performance testing, bottleneck identification, and system behaviour analysis.
• Validate cloud-native applications and services deployed across environments such as Azure and Kubernetes.
• Establish quality gates and automated validation within software delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers and technical teams to shift testing earlier in the development lifecycle.
• Maintain automation standards, technical documentation, test strategies, and engineering best practices.
• Continuously evaluate emerging testing tools and technologies to improve quality engineering effectiveness.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 9–12 years of experience in software quality engineering, QA automation, or a closely related engineering role.
• Proven experience building automation frameworks from the ground up, not just executing or maintaining existing frameworks.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or comparable automation frameworks.
• Strong experience with API automation, including Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Strong SQL skills and experience performing backend, database, and data validation.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and continuous testing practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent CI/CD technologies.
• Experience with performance engineering and performance testing.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and Kafka/event-driven architectures.
• Experience testing cloud-native applications, preferably within Azure and Kubernetes environments.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, automation architecture, test strategy, and quality engineering principles.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Strong programming and scripting capabilities for developing maintainable automation solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, DevOps engineers, product teams, and other technical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive automation and quality initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical quality issues clearly.
