Job Description

This role focuses on ensuring that all organizational processes, projects, and products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. It involves monitoring performance, conducting audits, maintaining documentation, and implementing quality control procedures. The position also supports continuous improvement by identifying issues, recommending solutions, and ensuring compliance, while collaborating with teams and management to deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Inspects the organization’s quality processes to ensure that standards are being met.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of project processes and products.
  • Specify, implement, and test quality management procedures and controls to ensure organizational compliance with regulatory and Client’s requirements.
  • Inspect products and materials to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management processes.
  • Establish and maintain an internal audit plan to verify that organizational internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management processes comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Train and mentor project staff on quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the agreed-upon quality standards.
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance documentation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on quality issues and performance.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement procedures and controls to manage quality processes.
  • Assist Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Operations Manager with quality control.
  • Maintain and record records of employee qualifications, certifications, and licenses, and document training and work history.
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
  • Perform random, scheduled, and surprise quality audits of jobsites, vendors, and other subcontractors.
  • Liaise with external quality assurance bodies.
  • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
  • Bachelor in engineering / management from an accredited university.

  • Minimum 10 years’ professional experience including as quality manager for large-scale projects.

  • Broad knowledge of the quality principles/tools and their application to engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, or decommissioning.

  • Knowledge of the application of corrective actions to reconcile nonconforming conditions.

  • Knowledge of project management processes and procedures.

  • Ability to issue NCR and follow up corrective actions.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and functions which impact the quality program/plan.

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communications.

  • Proficiency in providing direction and on the job training to assigned personnel.

  • Experience in performing project audit.
