In this role, you'll:


be working as part of a team delivering major fleet and fleet‑infrastructure projects that support Transport for NSW’s priorities, you’ll play a critical role in enabling safe, efficient and future‑focused project outcomes across Rail Fleet Programs.

This role will see you lead the development, delivery and management of complex, multi‑disciplinary projects, ensuring they meet agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirements while aligning with government objectives.

You’ll be engaged in every stage of the project lifecycle—from strategic design and documentation review to contract administration, performance monitoring, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement. The role also offers development opportunities through mentoring others, shaping project strategies, and contributing to broader program and organisational priorities.

You will drive project efficiencies, improved processes and high‑quality outcomes in a dynamic operational environment, where technical challenges, stakeholder complexity and shifting program priorities require strong judgment, collaboration and leadership. Your ability to resolve issues, manage risks and maintain project momentum will be central to delivering value for customers, communities and partners.

About you


Your project leadership capability, contract management expertise and technical understanding of major infrastructure delivery—formed across sectors such as transport, construction, rail, engineering or large‑scale capital programs—will see you navigate complexity, make sound decisions, resolve operational and stakeholder challenges, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality frameworks.

You're recognised as a skilled communicator, negotiator and problem‑solver, adept at translating complex information, influencing diverse stakeholders, managing interdependent project streams and guiding teams to deliver results. You’re experienced in tendering processes, contractor management, infrastructure design and evaluation, rail or rollingstock environments, and applying robust project governance to keep programs on track.
