Lead Project Management Specialist 5 (WASMI5)
We are hiring a Lead Project Management Specialist to join the Boeing Global Engineering team supporting the Capability Strategy Stream. In this role you will shape and deliver strategic initiatives that strengthen Boeing’s global engineering capabilities. You will partner with senior leaders, cross‑functional teams, and global site representatives to identify opportunities, define enablers, and translate strategy into measurable outcomes that deliver lasting value across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Integrate, facilitate and drive across key stakeholders (Global Engineering Executives, Boeing BU's and Functional leaders, global site leaders, stream representatives, among others), developing, prioritizing and deploying strategies to achieve Boeing Global Engineering’s long-term business goals and vision
Collaborate, facilitate and drive mapping engineering capabilities across geographies, identifying enablers and alternatives and recommending a common and aligned proposal on focus areas for Boeing's Global Engineering sites
Support senior leadership decision‑making by collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing data; producing clear, leadership‑ready artifacts, options, and driving recommendations that identify risks, constraints, and tradeoffs
Build and nurture strong relationships and trust with local and global stakeholders (engineering teams, stream leaders and representatives, functional and BU partners); proactively support integration with Eastern Hemisphere sites to leverage time zone advantages
Plan and facilitate high‑impact workshops (virtual and in‑person) to drive strategic alignment, commitment, and actionable next steps
Manage the Capability Stream operating rhythm (stream meetings, leadership forums, and global engineering forums), including agenda development, backlog management, meeting materials, invitations, and coordination with Chiefs of Staff and Executive Assistants as required
Coordinate cross‑functional project teams to translate strategy into execution—define scopes, schedules, resource plans, and performance metrics; track progress and adjust plans to meet strategic priorities according to PM best practices
Identify and promote opportunities for cross‑site collaboration that leverage unique site capabilities to optimize value across the engineering value stream
Monitor global geopolitical, economic, social, political, and regulatory trends that influence strategy; support development of mitigation and resilience plans to protect critical capabilities (including intentional redundancy to mitigate single-threaded risks)
Why this role matters
Be part of a structured, engineering-focused environment where precise planning, accountability, and continuous improvement are rewarded
Make tangible impact on Global Engineering teams’ performance, technical development and readiness, and long-lasting decisions on enterprise engineering capabilities
