We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-time Lead Project Engineer in Cyprus office - a certified Great Place to Work®.

We're looking for a Lead Project Engineer to lead a critical modernization project of our Microsoft infrastructure environment, including Active Directory, File Services, IIS, and RDS migration initiatives. You'll take ownership of infrastructure transformation projects, coordinate migration activities, and ensure implementation aligns with updated internal architecture standards, file resource policies, and naming conventions.

Reporting to: Head of Security and Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

Lead the upgrade and migration of Active Directory Domain Controllers from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2022
Coordinate deployment and configuration of new infrastructure servers while decommissioning legacy systems
Lead migration of FSMO roles and ensure stable operation of the new AD DC environment
Plan and oversee migration and reconfiguration of IIS services and related dependencies
Drive the separation of File Servers into dedicated infrastructure according to updated internal architecture standards
Implement publication and management of shared resources through DFS namespaces and replication
Lead migration and modernization of Remote Desktop Services (RDS) infrastructure
Coordinate secure migration of file shares and business-critical data to new File Servers
Ensure infrastructure naming conventions, policies, and configurations comply with internal standards
Manage migration timelines, risks, dependencies, rollback planning, and service continuity
Document project stages, infrastructure changes, migration procedures, and operational guidelines
Collaborate with IT, Security, and Infrastructure teams on hardening, optimization, and implementation best practices
Support post-migration validation, troubleshooting, and performance improvements

Candidate profile:

5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft infrastructure administration and infrastructure projects
Strong experience with Active Directory Domain Services, including FSMO role migration and domain controller upgrades
Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 environments
Solid understanding of DFS namespaces and DFS replication
Experience leading File Server migration projects and storage-related infrastructure changes
Practical experience with IIS migration and administration
Experience with RDS migration and support
Good understanding of Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows authentication mechanisms
Experience with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation
Experience coordinating infrastructure migration projects and working with multiple stakeholders
Strong troubleshooting, planning, and documentation skills
Ability to lead infrastructure transformations with minimal downtime and operational impact

Nice to Have:

Experience in enterprise or regulated environments (fintech, financial services)
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging systems
Familiarity with security hardening standards and best practices
Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, AZ-800/801, or similar)
Experience with storage systems and SAN infrastructure
