LEAD PROGRAM MANAGER (GOVERNMENT & EXTERNAL AFFAIRS)
Job Description:  
-You will develop and implement strategic plans and activities to foster positive awareness of the company with outside audiences, including individual leaders and institutions in local and national government (elected and career officials), the media, academia and think tanks, non-governmental/non-profit organizations, industry peers and associations, and the general public.
-You will Ensure all plans and activities nest within and support corporate, regional, and global strategic goals. The ultimate goal is to sustain and strengthen a favorable business environment for the company.
-You will report to the Director of Government and External Relations, and to the Director for Public Affairs.
-You will build and maintain a network of relationships with political, business, and opinion leaders and institutions whose views and messages influence the company’s reputation and business prospects.
-You will engage directly and recommend and implement engagement activities for the company's executives.
- In collaboration with other colleagues and teams, you will proactively use your networks to influence Japanese regulatory processes and decisions by media, academic, and other societal leaders that impact company interests.
- You will advise the company's executive leadership on strategies to impact decision-making over the short and long run.
- You will use your deep understanding of Japanese institutions, society, and public opinion to develop and implement creative events and long-term projects fostering increased positive reputation of the company.
- You will manage and mentor downline staff, delegating responsibility and supporting staff member's professional development.
- You will oversee an annual leadership-focused executive education exchange program for Japanese key opinion leaders, in partnership with a leading U.S. university. You will ensure the exchange program achieves objectives as efficiently as effectively as possible. You will expand and enhance alumni and other participant enrichment activities to deepen and amplify long-term impact of the program.
- You will collaborate across functional lines within the company to create teams and synergies to effectively and efficiently accomplish specific projects and advance division and corporate strategic objectives.
- You will incorporate all appropriate engagement and communications tools and methods, including cutting-edge technology, to seek results.
