Team Leader - Water - Auckland

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader - Water to join our Auckland Water team. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of water professionals to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes for our clients, while contributing strongly to technical delivery across water infrastructure projects.

You will build and sustain a high-performance, inclusive team culture aligned to the Water Sector strategy and WSP’s Guiding Principles. Balancing project delivery with people leadership, you will help grow capability, support wellbeing, manage resourcing, and maintain a strong commercial, technical and client-centric focus.

About you:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Industry recognised professional qualification, or working towards this, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience as a Designer and/or Project Manager.
  • Proven people leadership capability, with the ability to coach, develop and support high-performing teams.
  • Strong technical delivery and assurance experience across water infrastructure projects.
  • Commercial acumen, client focus, and the ability to contribute to project financial health, resourcing and utilisation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Current, clean Driver Licence.
