The Ecolab Global Business Intelligence (GBI) team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Product Owner This role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, strategic decision making, change management, business partnership, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vision and Strategy Define and communicate the overall vision for BI products and solutions. Ensure alignment with organizational strategy and objectives, advocating for data-driven decision-making at all levels. Create a track record of positive business engagement with clear value proposition on deliverables. Understands GBI Goals and how the team fits into the enterprise.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including executives, function heads, and end users—to elicit business requirements and understand pain points. Translate these needs into clear project goals for the BI team. Consistently coming prepared for discussions, thinking through messaging and impacts of changes to others. Crucially, can speak with executive leaders and gain trust.
  • Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features and enhancements are addressed first. Balance competing priorities based on business value, risk, and technical feasibility.
  • Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a forward-looking roadmap for BI releases, enhancements, and maintenance for products. Communicate timelines and expectations to stakeholders and the BI team.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure QA teams are properly defining acceptance criteria to ensure BI deliverables meet stakeholder requirements and quality standards.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to scope or requirements, facilitating communication between business and technical teams to minimize disruption and maximize value.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend process enhancements and support initiatives to improve data quality and analytical capabilities within the organization.
  • Performance Measurement:Establish metrics to evaluate the impact of BI solutions, gathering feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Team ManagementIndirectly and directly managing others to drive deliverables and ensure alignment across projects and the team.
  • Problem Solving:Self-starting problem-solving skills. Does not need direction to begin thinking through a problem or arrive at a solution.
  • Self-Accountability:Drives work independently without need for reminders. Feels accountable to their work and as a result drives their own deliverables.

  • Efficient and transparent prioritization of BI projects and enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in scrum activities maintained in tools such as DevOps, Jira, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial and commercial reporting basics.
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
