Responsibilities
Own the product vision, roadmap, and delivery for Gracenote's Data Platform, the system that structures and models complex TV entertainment data for internal consumers and clients alike.
Work closely with Global Dataset and Delivery Product Managers to understand the business problems in creating and structuring complex entertainment data, and translate those needs into a clear, prioritized roadmap.
Partner directly with engineering teams and Data Architects to shape data models, write detailed requirements, and drive hand-on execution, especially in the first phase of the role.
Define and own the platform's key input and output metrics. Establish platform SLAs and quality measures, and publish them so internal and external consumers can hold the platform accountable.
Operate effectively across a globally distributed organization: strong async written communication, disciplined documentation, and willingness to flex hours for overlap with US/EU stakeholders.
Over time, hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing product team in India while remaining an active individual contributor on the most complex platform problems.
8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years on platform or data products.
Demonstrated appetite for hands-on IC work at a senior level: writing specs, querying data, working directly in the details with engineering.
Actively uses LLMs in day-to-day product work: to accelerate analysis, drive better decisions, automate repetitive PM tasks, and achieve measurable outcomes. Be prepared to walk through concrete examples in the interview.
Comfortable with XML, JSON, SQL, and REST APIs; able to write or LLM-assist your own scripts in Python or SQL to answer product questions.
Experience working within structured, milestone-driven development processes and delivering predictably against commitments.
Highly metrics-driven: able to distill a complex platform into a small set of key input and output metrics and use them to drive decisions.
Track record of driving execution rigor in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication; proven ability to influence stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
Interest and aptitude for people leadership: prior mentoring, coaching, or team-lead experience, and genuine motivation to build a team as the role grows.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience with TV/entertainment metadata, EPG data, content supply chains, or adjacent media data domains.
Experience partnering with Data Architects to shape complex business data into coherent, extensible, scalable structures.
Prior experience as a hiring manager or formal people manager.
