Job Description

Every year, our players in the Netherlands and Germany win millions of prizes in kind, from plants and towels to suitcases and far beyond. They choose those prizes in our online Lotteryshop. It's a powerful winner moment, but the digital experience doesn't yet match the joy. There's a lot to win here, literally.

You'll lead a complete new platform for Prizes in Kind across NL and DE, integrated into our international ecosystem so winners can soon choose their prize directly in the app. It connects to the backend that knows our winners and arranges fulfillment, a backend we'll also restructure in parallel. Big scope, with likely rollout to other lotteries in the group.

From day one you'll lead the new platform and line-manage at least one Product Owner in the team. As the platform proves itself, your scope and team grow, taking on additional Product Owners and broader product responsibility within the Netherlands product organisation.

Stefanie Tempelaars, Head of Product: “Product is a newly established department within the Lottery, focused on designing player-first experiences. We’re in an exciting growth phase, rapidly building and delivering the latest and greatest software products for our players across all markets. Fun is one of our core values—it’s not just central to our product development, but something I genuinely feel in my day-to-day work. And beyond creating amazing products, we’re proud to contribute millions to charities every year. It’s all part of our culture”.

As Lead Product Manager, you’ll:

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision for Prizes in Kind across NL and DE, aligned with the international ecosystem strategy and PCL's long-term business outcomes.
  • Own business outcomes end-to-end — the winner journey for Prizes in Kind, the new shop, app integration, backend connectivity, and fulfillment. Make strategic trade-offs across product, tech, and operations to maximize impact.
  • Lead the migration from current to new platform with a "quality as default" mindset, so customer and customer service impact stays near zero through cutover.
  • Steer a multidisciplinary team (design, research, engineering) by setting context and direction. Adapt team setup and processes proactively as the platform scales toward international rollout.
  • Lead and manage Product Owners from day one, growing the team and your scope over time as you take on broader product responsibility within the NL product organisation. Define product leadership principles and coach PMs as you scale.
  • Create cross-departmental alignment between NL and DE business teams and the international program. Navigate organizational dynamics to unblock decisions and represent Dutch requirements at executive level.
  • Build deep lottery domain expertise and strong cross-market relationships. Use that context to shape the broader NL product roadmap and investment priorities.

You’d describe yourself as follows:

  • 8+ years in product management, including time as Lead or Group PM or equivalent senior product roles
  • Active people management experience, currently or recently line-managing POs, PMs, or cross-functional leads. This role manages from day one.
  • Track record of owning end-to-end platforms or domains with real business outcomes
  • Comfortable making strategic trade-offs with incomplete information
  • Strong stakeholder navigation across business, tech, and international peers
  • Hands-on enough to still get into the work, strategic enough to lift others and scale your scope
  • Affinity with consumer / e-commerce / loyalty domains is a plus
  • A monthly salary indication between €6,200,- and €8,200,- based on a 40-hour week and flexible working hours.
