This role requires extensive experience in leading complex programs, managing cross-functional and external stakeholders, and aligning technical execution with public policy and regulatory requirements to ensure excellence in project delivery while maximizing business value.

Serving as a critical link between engineering execution, sustainability innovation, and the regulatory landscape, this position plays a key role in maintaining the organization’s competitiveness, compliance, and financial performance in a rapidly evolving global environment. The successful candidate will act as a strategic enabler of technological advancement, sustainable mobility initiatives, and funding opportunities, directly contributing to multi-million-dollar financial outcomes while strengthening the company’s leadership position in global engineering and sustainable transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams in multiple regions (Europe, LATAM, India and North America).
  • Ensure robust programme governance, including schedule adherence, cost control, risk management, and executive reporting.

2. Greenfuel / Sustainability Initiatives

  • Lead the development and implementation of Greenfuel programmes, focused on alternative fuels, emissions reduction, and compliance with evolving environmental standards.
  • Coordinate technical development with regulatory requirements, ensuring readiness for current and future fuel technologies (e.g. biofuels, low-carbon solutions).
  • Engage internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability targets into product roadmaps and lifecycle strategies.

3. Government Relations and Incentive Management

  • Act as the primary engineering interface with government bodies and regulatory agencies in Brazil
  • Manage and optimise participation in the MOVER programme (Mobilidade Verde e Inovação) and other federal/state-level engineering incentive schemes.
  • Identify and secure eligibility for engineering tax credits, R&D incentives, and innovation funding mechanisms
  • Ensure full compliance with programme requirements, including technical reporting, audit readiness, and deliverable traceability.

4. Financial and Strategic Impact

  • Deliver measurable financial benefits through effective utilisation of government incentives and programme efficiencies.
  • In the previous fiscal year, successfully enabled approximately USD 9 million in engineering-related financial benefits through incentive programmes and structured project alignment.
  • Support business cases and long-term investment strategies by integrating incentive frameworks into engineering planning.

5. Stakeholder and Executive Engagement

  • Provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership (VP/SVP level), ensuring transparency on programme status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Influence decision-making by balancing technical requirements, regulatory constraints, and financial optimisation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government representatives, industry associations, and strategic partners.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Advanced programme and project management expertise (global scope)
  • Strong understanding of Brazilian government incentive frameworks (e.g. MOVER, Rota 2030-related mechanisms, R&D credits)
  • Technical depth in engineering systems and product development
  • Financial acumen, particularly in cost optimisation and incentive leverage
