
As a Lead Product Developer, you will be the technical lead and central expert for electrically conductive (EC) coating technologies at tesa. You will drive the evaluation, qualification, and integration of EC coatings from external partners into high-performance adhesive solutions for our Electronics Business Unit.
Working at the interface of coatings technology, surface science, and application engineering, you will translate advanced material concepts into robust, scalable products. Your role combines hands-on laboratory work, deep technical analysis, and close collaboration with internal teams and external technology partners to enable innovative functional coatings for future applications.
Your tasks include:
University degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
Several years of proven experience in electrically conductive coatings, including hands-on formulation work in previous roles.
Deep process knowledge of pad printing, screen printing, and jetting for conductive coating systems.
Experience with ionic liquids and their interaction with polymeric or composite substrates.
Strong expertise in surface characterization (AFM, CLSM, SEM) and electrochemical techniques (EIS).
Track record of leading external technical collaborations and translating technical results into product value.
Strategic, analytical, and independent working style with a clear solution orientation.
Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for international, interdisciplinary teamwork.
Fluent in English; German is a plus.
