The Role: Lead– Product DesignerAs a  Lead Product Designer, you’ll be the craft leader driving design excellence across our fintech experiences. This role is a  senior individual contributor track — no people management, but very high influence. You’ll own some of the most complex and strategic design challenges, shaping intuitive, elegant solutions that scale across millions of users.This is about setting the bar for design quality at Upstox — leading by example, pushing boundaries of craft, and ensuring design stays central to how we build products.
What You’ll OwnEnd-to-End Design Ownership Lead discovery, ideation, and delivery for high-impact fintech product areas. Design Systems Leadership Build and evolve a scalable, cross-platform design system to ensure consistency and speed. Craft Pixel-Perfect Solutions Translate user needs, research, and strategy into beautiful, functional designs. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work hand-in-hand with product, engineering, marketing, and compliance teams. Measure & Iterate Define design KPIs, validate impact with analytics & feedback, and continuously refine. Design Evangelism Influence stakeholders and embed design thinking throughout the product lifecycle.
Who You Are7+ years of product design experience, ideally in  consumer-tech, fintech, or large-scale platformsA strong portfolio showing conceptual thinking + hands-on execution of  complex, user-facing productsExpert in  Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and design system management.Deep knowledge of  user-centered design, accessibility, and compliance standards.Exceptional communicator who explains design rationale with clarity and influence.Self-directed, adaptable, and energized by solving  ambiguous, high-impact problemsBachelor’s degree in  Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
