As a Process Engineering Leader at Hitachi Energy, you will help shape how our operations perform every day—improving flow, boosting efficiency, and strengthening safety and quality across production environments. This is an opportunity to influence multiple functions, collaborate with thoughtful teams, and translate engineering principles into practical, high‑value outcomes.

You will work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and other partners to analyze operations, design better processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies. From leading Kaizen events to supporting capital and cost‑out projects, this role offers the space to apply experience, mentor others, and make meaningful change in a complex manufacturing setting. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Monitor production flow, equipment use, and area layout.
  • Evaluate and improve operational efficiency using Lean tools.
  • Attend and lead Kaizen and continuous improvement events.
  • Create and update Work Instructions and Standard Work.
  • Identify and deliver CAPEX and cost‑out initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison across production, quality, maintenance, ITM, and procurement.
  • Solve problems with urgency while maintaining HSE and quality compliance.
  • Analyze data, prepare reports, and support engineering documentation.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership or senior engineering role.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and process engineering.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
  • Transformer manufacturing experience is an advantage.
