About the teamAbout the role:
The Cancer Information and Support Services Division (CISS) aims to empower and support people affected by cancer, so that no-one needs to face cancer alone. This Division assists people as they navigate the cancer journey, easing their emotional and practical burdens and helping them make informed decisions.
The Practical Support Services team provides support to people affected by cancer, ensuring practical needs are met throughout their cancer trajectory. The services offered include pro bono legal, workplace and financial planning advice, transport and accommodation to treatment and
financial counselling and capability support.
The key purpose of the Lead, Practical Support Services is to Lead the delivery of practical support (T2T, Accommodation Hardship, Home Help) and in collaboration with the Lead, Legal & Financial Support Services, ensure effective and efficient delivery of services that meet the practical, legal and financial needs of people affected by cancer
