Job Description

The Lead Player Services Cashier provides day-to-day guidance and support to the Player Services Cashier team while performing a variety of cash and non-cash transactions for casino guests. This position helps ensure accurate cash handling, regulatory compliance, and smooth Player Services operations while delivering exceptional guest service. The Lead also assists with rewards program enrollment and promotions, resolves guest and employee concerns, researches transaction variances, and supports the accountability and reconciliation of cage funds.

  • Lead, mentor, and provide day-to-day guidance to Player Services Cashiers to support efficient operations and compliance with established policies and regulations.
  • Process high-volume cash and noncash transactions, including chip issuance and redemption, currency exchanges, check cashing, cash advances, slot tickets, and promotional vouchers.
  • Enroll guests in the rewards program, issue membership cards, maintain accurate player information, and explain program benefits and casino promotions.
  • Verify funds at the beginning and end of shifts and assist with the reconciliation and balancing of Player Services transactions.
  • Verify and distribute jackpot and special payouts while ensuring required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Research transaction variances by reviewing and auditing reports and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accountability of ATMs, kiosks, operational funds, and promotional inventory.
  • Ensure required currency transaction information and documentation are provided to appropriate departments.
  • Assist with casino promotions, entry-level player evaluations, and script-based outbound guest calls.
  • Address guest and employee questions, disputes, and concerns professionally, escalating issues to leadership when appropriate.
  • Safeguard company assets and maintain confidentiality of guest, financial, and casino information.
  • Help ensure team compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an organized and professional work environment and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of cash-handling or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and provide guidance to team members in a fast-paced guest service environment.
  • Strong guest service skills with the ability to create positive and memorable guest experiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations and handle high-volume monetary transactions.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and professionally resolve guest service concerns.
  • Ability to learn and explain casino games, property amenities, rewards program benefits, and gaming promotions.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn job-related systems and software.
  • Ability to understand and comply with applicable gaming regulations, laws, and company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required gaming licensure.
  • Valid driver's license and liability insurance required.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
