Job Description

As a Cherokee Casino Tahlequah Lead Player Services Cashier, you will process a wide range of high-volume cash and non-cash transactions in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner. You will also mentor and guide the player services cashier team to ensure they comply with all tribal, federal, state, and local laws, as well as company and departmental policies and procedures. This position requires you to lead and or guide the work of other employees , safeguard company assets, and ensure all daily transactions are reconciled

  • Process cash handling transactions, including chip issuance and redemption, currency exchanges, check cashing, cash advances, and voucher redemptions.
  • Enroll guests in the rewards program, issue membership cards, and maintain accurate player tracking information.
  • Introduce and promote rewards program membership benefits and explain details of ongoing promotions to guests.
  • Conduct entry-level player evaluations and outbound, script-based calls.
  • Verify and distribute payments of jackpots or special payouts and ensure accurate completion of required paperwork.
  • Maintain and monitor operational and promotional inventory.
  • Handle guest and employee requests, disputes, and complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all casino and guest information.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized work area and environment.
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • One year of experience in cash handling or customer service is preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical computations accurately.
  • The ability to learn and explain gaming promotions, casino games, and property amenities is necessary.
  • Must be proficient in computer software as it relates to the job.
  • Must be able to make sound decisions in guest service situations.
  • A valid driver's license and liability insurance must be maintained.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority is required.
  • You must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • This role requires you to be comfortable working in environments with second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
