Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Commercial Performance & P&L Management

Own the end-to-end commercial performance of the e-commerce business, with accountability across revenue, conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and margin health. Partner with Finance to manage the P&L, identifying levers to drive top-line growth without compromising profitability. Work closely with marketing, category, and finance teams to set ambitious but grounded commercial targets and build the frameworks to track delivery against them.

2. Customer Experience & Digital Growth

Take ownership of the customer journey across the full digital funnel, from discovery through to purchase and retention. Identify and unlock growth opportunities through experience optimisation, personalisation, and funnel improvement initiatives. Collaborate with UX and product teams to prioritise the changes that move the needle on customer satisfaction, repeat purchase, and lifetime value.

3. Business Analytics & Reporting

Lead the translation of data and analytics into clear, actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Conduct deep-dive analyses on customer behaviour, funnel drop-offs, and campaign performance to inform strategic decision-making. Build and maintain reporting frameworks that give the business real-time visibility into commercial health.

4. Pricing, Open-to-Buy (OTB) & Cashflow

Develop and manage pricing strategy that balances competitiveness, margin protection, and demand signals. Own the OTB planning process, ensuring inventory investment is aligned with sales targets and cashflow objectives. Monitor inventory-related cashflow proactively, flagging risks early and recommending corrective actions before they impact the business.

5. Supply Chain & Omnichannel Efficiency

Oversee supply-side metrics that directly affect customer experience — including delivery speed, fulfilment accuracy, and stock availability. Work in close partnership with supply chain and operations teams to drive efficiency across online and offline touchpoints. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the supply chain that create downstream commercial or experience impacts.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage and interrogate a P&L end to end, including gross margin, contribution margin, and working capital dynamics.
  • Deep expertise in merchandise and inventory planning, including OTB management, sell-through analysis, and markdown optimisation.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools — comfortable working with platforms such as Google Analytics, Looker, Power BI, or equivalent — and the ability to synthesise large datasets into clear business narratives.
  • Solid understanding of digital funnel mechanics, including the interplay between traffic, CVR, AOV, and retention, particularly within fashion e-commerce.
  • Working knowledge of pricing strategy frameworks and their application in a competitive, trend-sensitive retail environment.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across finance, marketing, supply chain, and technology.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to present complex analysis with clarity to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
  • Organised, structured, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Experience Required

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in planning, commercial, or strategy roles within fashion retail or fashion e-commerce.
  • Proven track record of managing or materially contributing to a retail P&L, ideally across both online and offline channels.
  • Direct experience with OTB planning and inventory management in a fashion or lifestyle retail context — familiarity with seasonal buying cycles, trend-driven assortment planning, and stock risk management.
  • Experience working within or alongside e-commerce teams, with hands-on exposure to digital performance metrics and conversion optimisation.
  • Exposure to omnichannel retail operations, with an understanding of how inventory, fulfilment, and customer experience intersect across channels.
  • Prior experience in the GCC or broader MENA region is a strong advantage, given the nuances of the regional retail calendar, consumer behavior, and logistics landscape.
