UGL has a strategic partnership with the Department of Defence across the Defence Fuels Network. The Defence Fuels Network (DFN) is an extensive network of more than 100 Defence Fuel Installations (DFI’s) across Australia providing fuel for Army, Navy and Airforce operations. The Defence Fuels Network Managing Contractor Contract (DFN MCC) has UGL partnering with the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) in delivering strategic and recurring services to Australia’s Defence Forces in Fuel and Inventory Management, Asset, Engineering, Maintenance and Operations Management and delivery while enhancing and maximising Australian supply chain and participation.
About the role
Planner/Scheduler key responsibilities relate to planning/ scheduling control: particularly of overall plan and allocation of planned hours, tracking of trends and facilitating accurate planning reporting. All key responsibilities relating to the smooth running of Project jobs, bringing jobs in on time and on budget, adhering to Safety and Quality procedures and working in accordance with the Continuous Improvement plan.
Key responsibilities
Steward quality and completeness of Key Project Milestones
Develops a detailed Milestone Plan and Schedule
Assist in the development of detailed cost estimates & reconciliation
Prepare and analyse project progress reports, including developing S-curves and reviewing S-curves prepared by planners for accuracy and performance tracking
Continuously reviews and/or adjusts the Project plan in order to minimise the schedule downtime.
Ensures an appropriate look ahead to better utilise contractors on job plans
About You
Planning/Scheduling experience in a similar role within petrochemical, construction or related industries
Proficient in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, SAP S/4HANA PM, familiarity with other SAP systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Some familiarity with Power BI is preferred
Holds, or can obtain, appropriate security clearance.
